Plot: The story takes place in Srednerechensk, a town nor far from Moscow. There, captain Andrey Kubankov, also known as Kuba, is trying to get a fresh start. Kuba recently served in a motorised regiment but was dismissed for fighting with the commander who stole Kuba's wife. Kuba returns to his hometown, seeing no other solution but to drown his sorrows.
